Bae / Aerospatiale Concorde SST British Airways

BAe / Aerospatiale Concorde 2nd March, 1969. The first flight of Concorde. To this day Concorde remains the only passenger jet airliner to fly supersonic. With a cruising speed of just over Mach 2, its London to New York flight time is around 3hrs 50mins. Concorde flew regular transatlantic flights from London Heathrow (British Airways) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (Air France) to New York JFK and Washington Dulles, profitably flying these routes at record speeds, in less than half the time of other airliners. Concorde also set many other records, including the official FAI "Westbound Around the World" and "Eastbound Around the World" world air speed records.
